The Nelson 250th Anniversary Celebrations at Burnham Thorpe Friday 26th September 2008 – Sunday 28th September 2008
Admiral Lord Nelson was born on 29 September 1758 at Burnham Thorpe. The 1805 Club marked the 250th anniversary with a visit to Kings Lynn and Burnham Thorpe.

The Bayntun Fundraising Dinner held at The Royal Naval Museum, Portsmouth Saturday 5th July 2008
Henry Bayntun, captain of HMS Leviathan at Trafalgar, is buried at Weston near Bath, and his grave is in need of £3,000 worth of conservation work. Nelson’s own dining table was the centre-piece for this unique fund-raising dinner which was held in the Nelson Gallery at the Royal Naval Museum, Portsmouth, Hampshire.
