19th October 2025 - British Officers Club, Washington DC Trafalgar Night Dinner

The British Officers Club, Washington DC, will hold their annual Trafalgar Night Dinner at the Country Club of Fairfax, Fairfax VA, on 19 October.  As soon as additional details become available, I will send them out to you.  This is always a very enjoyable event arranged by 1805 Club member Peter Pennington.  The event not only includes an excellent meal, but also a great band and dancing.

19th September 2025 - Dudley Knox Achievement Award Reception

The Dudley Knox achievement award ceremony and cocktail party will be held at the U.S. Naval Institute Friday, 19 September beginning at 5:15pm at the U.S. Naval Institute.  Information and registration can be found at https://www.usni.org/events/dudley-knox-achievement-award-reception-0.

18th - 19th September 2025 - McMullen Naval History Symposium

The McMullen Naval History Symposium takes place on 18-19 September at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis MD.  I recommend this symposium very highly.  International in scope, it is the premier gathering of naval historians, whose professional presentations run the gamut of topics.  If you have not already registered for this FREE event, you may do so at https://usna.edu/History/Symposium/index.php.  This link will also give you additional information on the symposium, including the tentative agenda, security protocol, etc.  Please note that it is also being presented online.  The 1805 Club will sponsor one of the panels, and have an information table in the reception area.

2nd August 2025 - Battle of the Nile Luncheon

Our Battle of the Nile Luncheon takes place on Saturday, 2 August, 11:45am at the Mystic BBQ restaurant in Alexandria VA.  Please see the attached flyer for details.  Note that there is a limit of 18 attendees so please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to attend.  If you have already contacted me, no need to do so again; I have you on the list!
