Sue Carr holds a doctorate in history and her historical interests encompass a broad range of subjects and eras, with an especial lay interest in British maritime history from the sixteenth to early twentieth century, and the history of exploration. She was previously the Executive Secretary of the Royal Historical Society, and also Treasurer of both the Historical Association Central London Branch and the former Birkbeck College History Society. Whilst her professional engagement was with the academic history community Sue is a keen advocate of engaging public interest in the past.

Harold E. “Pete” Stark is a retired U.S. Postal Service executive, following which he worked as an independent information technology consultant.
During his employment with the Postal Service, he served in a variety of roles, including mail processing plant activation team lead, Internet development manager for USPS.COM, and Chief Information Security Officer. As a consultant he has been responsible for assisting corporate executives and team leads in the definition and development of effective information technology solutions.

John has been a member of The 1805 since he was the Commander at HMS Nelson in Portsmouth, during which time The club held its Cape St Vincent conference and dinner in 1997. He served a full career in the RN from a 17-year-old Cadet to retirement as a Captain, aged 55 years.

The Reverend Lynda Sebbage is The 1805 Club’s Chaplain. She was ordained priest in June 2018 at St Edmundsbury & Ipswich Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. In August 2020 she moved to her benefice as priest in charge of the Barrow Benefice which is just outside Bury St Edmunds.
The role as Chaplain to The 1805 Club is far reaching, but in the main it is to offer spiritual support and to act in an advisory role when the Club is involved with events that include Christian services.
She has been an active member of The 1805 Club for many years and was Events Officer from 2005 – 2008 responsible for many of the Club’s key events that took place to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Nelson’s death. Lynda is also an active member of her local Rotary Club.

Nicholas is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Adviser, formerly in practice in Chiswick High Road, London W4, now practising in the Meon Valley, Hampshire.
He deliberately sought and took on charity and not-for-profit client work as a Partner in Bryan and Ridge, Chartered Accountants Chiswick, because of the business and stakeholder challenges that the sector faces. As a result he has a range of experience as trustee and adviser to such operations.

Mark presently resides in Montreal, Quebec, the home of the first Nelson column in the British Empire. He is originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland, which is rich in naval history. He first became interested in all things naval by studying the adventures of Captain James Cook, who had spent three years in Newfoundland using triangulation to map the island. Admiral Horatio Nelson was a frequent visitor to Newfoundland in his pursuits of the French navy.

Peter Turner was a design engineer, but became a cartoonist upon his retirement, which directly led to him joining The 1805 Club, where he has become the latest Editor of The Kedge Anchor and The 1805 Dispatches.‘

Kate Jamieson graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2013 with a BSc in International Relations. She has worked in the shipping industry for 7 years and is now part of the Operations team at MNG Maritime, where she manages floating armouries in the Red Sea and Gulf of Oman.
Until recently, Kate was assisting The 1805 Club with The Trafalgar Way project and she is also a social secretary for the Navy Records Society. Kate is currently completing her MA in Naval History with the University of Exeter and has a particular focus on Master Gunners.
