Location: St Pancras New Church, Euston Road, London
Type: Grave
Date of death: 23 March 1826 Place of death: St Pancras, London
Note: Church records show that Rear Admiral William Prowse was buried in the crypt of St Pancras New Church in a communal grave. There is no plaque inside the Church to him, and so he has no visible memorial. However, it is believed that he lived in Euston Road, and Prowse Place, a quaint, cobbled mews in Camden, is named after him. The Church has plans to develop the crypt into a study centre, and if these come to fruition, the human remains there will be exhumed and re-interred elsewhere.
