Description: Wall monument made of white marble, consisting of a pyramid, with a coat of arms at the top, and below naval trophies, flags, coils of rope and cannon balls. The inscription is mounted on two brackets with lion heads.

Note: Erected 1820 at a cost of £150. The Admiral was in fact buried a little distance away in the middle aisle of the nave on 9 May 1818, but his actual grave is now covered by the later brass to Sir George Gilbert Scott.
