sacred to the memory of
sir EDWARD BERRY, baronet, knight commander of the most honourable and military order of the bath, and rear admiral of the red squadron of his majesty’s fleet, he departed this life 13th of february 1831, in the 63rd year of his age.
the distinguished services of sir EDWARD BERRY, are recorded in the annals of his country, he was the friend and companion of LORD NELSON, under whose command he fought at the battle of st vincent, the nile, and trafalgar; he commanded h:m:ship agamemnon at the battle of st domingo, and was honoured by his sovereign with three medals, for great naval victories.
